Hi. As part of the fund raising for the Barber Rooms, there was a Summer Ball held in the Junior School here in Faringdon last weekend. It was black tie/ very smart, which gave everyone a chance to dress up and had a sit down buffet and a 12 piece band & vocals, Boogie Me, playing. As part of the (excellent) evening's entertainment, there was an Auction of Promises held, with various items ranging from a Ladies Bike to a week's holiday in Portugal. I entered 3 items - 1) A family/ group photoshoot with an A4 photo of their choice and 3 months web hosting of the finished images, 2) Two hours of camera tuition (including practicals), and 3) a framed photograph of All Saints Church. I'm very pleased to say that the total my items raised was £155. The overall total, including the profit from the Ball, was an incredible £3,500! I am now waiting to hear from the winners to arrange suitable dates and times.
