Faringdon Folly. The last folly built in England seemed a suitable place to begin my year's project. Finished in 1935 and standing 100 feet high, it has 154 steps inside which take you to the top, but in the true folly sense ... it serves no practical purpose at all. It is open to the public on the first Sunday of the each month between April and October and offers outstanding views from the summit.
