Recycling Printer Cartridges

October 20, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

Hi. As I print all my own photographs I can tend to use a lot of cartridges. Up until now, I have stored them away, intending to drop them in at Tesco, or somewhere, to recycle them. Well, I was very pleased to have an envelope come through my door for the RNLI, who now take old cartridges. I much rather prefer to give a donation to them, rather than Tesco ! The recycling company apparently gives a donation of up to £4.50 per cartridge to the RNLI, depending upon the cartridge being recycled. It's run by The Recycling Factory and more information can be found on www.therecyclingfactory.com/rnli (so it says on the packaging). All I need to do is drop the cartridges into the envelope and post them. Job done. I might need a few more envelopes though !

UPDATE - Bit disappointing - they can only take cartridges from my normal, day to day, printer not my decent one. Never mind ... it all helps. The company actually gives donations to a whole heap of charities and does Tesco Points too.

Until next time...
