Restoration

Hi. I've been busy the last week working on a restoration for a client. Water had got into a picture frame and stained the photograph inside. It looked like a straight forward job at first, but the photo had welded itself to the glass! I managed to scan it through the glass, after having cleaned it, and got a good reproduction but the staining was quite strong so it took quite a while to remove it, using a mixture of repair and cloning (copying from other areas of the photo). I now need to see what the client thinks about the finished image, before I print it for them. I've returned the original into it's frame and resealed it for them. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm also still uploading photos to Alamy - another 25 went up a few days ago and have been checked by Quality Control and passed, so I am busy entering keywords for the search engine. I tend to work in lots of 25 at a time as, should one picture fail, the whole batch is rejected. Not happened yet, but better safe than sorry. Until next time...
